Many shower door problems don’t need a new door. Hardware and seals wear out long before the glass does.
Common Repairs
- Sagging or dragging frameless doors: hinges adjusted or replaced.
- Sliding doors off their rollers: new rollers and guides.
- Leaks at the bottom or sides: new sweeps, seals, and drip rails.
- Loose or broken handles and towel bars.
- Failed caulk around the frame or panels.
When Repair Isn’t Enough
Chipped or cracked tempered glass can’t be repaired and has to be replaced. If the frame is badly corroded or the glass is etched cloudy, replacement is usually the better spend.
